PLE
Students today not only must be verbally literate but they must be digitally fluent to be competitive in today's global job market. By teaching students how to accomplish this at the same time they are learning content in core subjects the use of Web 2.0 tools becomes second nature to them. The classroom of the future needs to be a hybrid classroom where students spend part of their time in a brick and mortar classroom and the rest of the time will be spent in a virtual classroom. The benefits of the hybrid classrrom would be numerous. What are some of the advantages you see with this concept?

Some of the advantages are that they are most likely trying to plan a future for the kids.. and so they can do better at future jobs
ReplyDeleteI see that we are already being prepared for jobs outside of our classroom. We are learning to use technology in a good way to help our education. It benifits us because we are learning things like using the internet for research. Also, we have learned to book mark pages and use Lucid Chart to make computer generated charts. It is likely we will use this in the real world.

Some of the advantages I see are that we will use all of this technology in the future. With different businesses you need to use computers to get the job done. Some jobs need both technology and brains. A lot of companies that make everyday items use robots to get stuff together. Everything that we are learning about the new technology will help us with the future. Some CEO's use computers to present their ideas.
ReplyDeleteIf we spend part of our time in a regular classroom setting we become acquainted with each other in new ways, however it's only with the limited group that is there with us. When we enter the virtual classroom we can meet and get to know just about anyone form people in the community to people in Japan.

ReplyDeleteThere are plenty of advantages to Personal Learning Environments, some include being able to work with people out of reach, someone in a different state or country. Another advantage to be able to use P.L.E is that in our future we will most likely have to use the internet ALOT, so we are adapting to how do use the web to help use with our jobs in the class-room.
ReplyDeleteOne of the advantages I believe by using a hybrid classroom is that we will use the things we learned today and put it to use in the future. Most jobs presently require a computer instead of the old fashion pencil and paper. Things like how to manage our bookmarks, making charts, and etc will be very helpful in any upcoming jobs we will have.

ReplyDeleteWe are already having to consider what we plan to do in the future. We have been learning how to set up accounts on the internet and learning how to book mark pages. We have been learning how to do research on the internet to better understand something. Furthering our know how about the internet will help us with our future because our world is becoming more technologically dependent, and if we don't understand how to use technology we won't get very far in life. This is why it is important to understand and practice working with technology.
ReplyDeleteAdvantages of a hybrid classroom would be that we not only learn the subjects that are required but we also learn to use the technology we will need to use in our future. As we get more and more technologically advanced, we also need to learn to use it. Some people grow up without the advantages of using technology in their own homes but they will still be able to learn with their peers if they bring such technology into classrooms.
ReplyDeletewe use our lab to help us learn more about technology. we are able to get accounts and learn to meet other people around the world. i see advantages in this beacuse in our class we gat to know eachother but in the lab we can get to know what other students around the world are like
ReplyDeletethe advantages would be more time to use the computers to get work done and type documents etc. but we wouldnt have to reserve a time in the computer lab or find time to go in the computer lab because we would have all that we needed all around us

ReplyDeletealot of jobs today require you to be fluent with operating a computer, and using alot more technology then they're were in the 1950's. in todays society in order to get a good job you need to know how to use a computer.
ReplyDeleteKids hate to be in class and work all day. With technology people want to learn cause there many ways to intrest them on the computer.I like it because the stuff we do on computers is preparing us for the future..:)

ReplyDeletei think that there are many advantages to running a hybrid classroom. For example, our world is advancing rapidly and we are becoming more and more dependent on computers and techno. if we are ignorant and don't have the know-how to use it, we can't get a good job, be up to date with our peers, do work on our own(like at home, with no help), and...ect. this is a great advantage because with this, we can do great things,and succeed!

Teachers try to help us become more independent on technology because of how much we will need it in the future. Graphing, Book marking, Writing essays..thats where your computer comes in. Learning this now is really going to help us later. Thats the advantages of technology.
ReplyDeleteA definite advantage of having a Hybrid classroom would be that we could be more prepared for the future. Technology is seeming to be an everyday thing in the workplace nowadays. If we were all to become more fluent in technology we would be prepared for what lies ahead. We live in a world of technology, we should taka advantage of it 100%.
